What this app is

Current is a fishing companion that helps you decide what to throw, log catches, and share with friends. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms.

Your account

You're responsible for what happens under your account. Keep your password to yourself. If you suspect someone else has access, sign out and reset your password.

Content you post

Catches you log, posts you share, comments you leave, and messages you send in trip chats are content you've created. You keep the rights to it. By posting, you give us the right to display it inside Current to other users you've chosen to share with.

No tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior

We do not tolerate content that is hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, violent, or otherwise objectionable. We do not tolerate users who harass, threaten, impersonate, or otherwise abuse other anglers. We do not tolerate spam, scams, or commercial solicitation.

If you post objectionable content or behave abusively, your account may be removed at our discretion. We act on reports of objectionable content within 24 hours, including by removing the content and ejecting the user who posted it.

Reporting and blocking

Every post, comment, and chat message has a report option. Use it for anything you think violates these terms. You can also block other users from a profile screen. Blocked users disappear from your feed and comment threads instantly, and we're notified of the block so we can investigate.

Anti-cheat for catches and the map

Catches are tied to the GPS coordinates encoded in your photo's EXIF metadata, not your phone's current location. Catches without GPS still save but do not count toward map unlocks or location-based achievements. Submitting fabricated catch locations or otherwise gaming the map system may result in account removal.

Current Pro subscription

Some features are only available to Current Pro subscribers. The Pro features currently include the catch heat map, the 7-day bite outlook, the 48-hour conditions detail, and unlimited saved fishing spots. The free tier remains fully functional for everything else.

Pro is offered in three options:

Pricing is in U.S. Dollars and may differ in your local currency based on the App Store price tier in your region.

Subscription auto-renewal

Pro Monthly and Pro Yearly are auto-renewing subscriptions. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Your subscription automatically renews for the same term at the same price unless you cancel auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.

You can manage your subscription, change auto-renew, or cancel at any time by going to your Account Settings on the App Store after purchase. If you started a free trial, any unused portion of the trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable. Pro Lifetime is a one-time purchase and does not auto-renew.

Refunds for in-app purchases are handled by Apple. Submit refund requests through reportaproblem.apple.com.

Account deletion

You can delete your account at any time from Profile. Deletion is irreversible. We delete your profile, catches, posts, lures, spots, friends, and trips. We retain anonymized aggregates and any moderation history.

No warranty

Current is provided as-is. Bite scores, lure recommendations, and weather are best-effort guidance, not guarantees of fish on the line. Fish responsibly: follow your local regulations, respect private property, and wear a PFD on the water.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in the app via the broadcast banner; continuing to use Current after a change means you accept the updated terms.
